A subject line helps more than you would expect. “Correction: kidney meridian” gets a different and much faster response than “hello”. We aim to reply within two to three days, sooner for corrections, and we do not always manage it — this is a side project, not a staffed inbox.

What Is Worth Writing About

In rough order of how much we would like to hear it.

A correction

The most useful email this site gets, and we mean that. A misattributed meridian, a cooking time that does not work at altitude, a nutrition figure that has drifted, a traditional claim stated more confidently than the source supports — all of it is worth sending. Where a claim is contested inside the tradition itself, we would rather know and say so on the page.

A recipe or ingredient you are missing

The ingredient set is roughly thirty entries out of the several hundred in the classical material, chosen for the ones with a clear use and a reasonable availability. If something you cook regularly is absent, or belongs on a page and does not, tell us. Dishes from a real tradition rather than a web recipe are especially welcome, including regional ones.

A question about a specific page

Which food to use instead of one you cannot get, whether a preparation can be batched, how long something keeps. If the answer is already on the page and we have not put it clearly enough, that is useful information too — it means the page is wrong rather than the question.

Disagreement with the framing

Some of what is on this site is a traditional claim that would not survive a modern evidence review, and we try to mark where that boundary sits rather than hide it. If you think a page blurs the line between a traditional description and a physiological fact, we would genuinely like to hear it. Being argued with carefully is how the site gets more accurate.

Something technical

A page that will not load, a link that goes nowhere, a layout that breaks on a phone, a structured-data error. Screenshots help enormously, and so does telling us which browser and which device.

Advertising or sponsorship enquiries

The site runs on display advertising and nothing else — no affiliate links, no sponsored posts, no product reviews for money. That constraint exists because it is the only way an advert on the page can be worth reading, so we are not going to soften it. General enquiries are welcome; requests to write about a product we would not choose are politely declined.

Before You Write

Four things worth knowing in advance, because they are the most common reasons an email cannot be answered usefully.

This site does not give medical advice

We are not clinicians and nothing here is a diagnosis, a treatment, or a prescription. We cannot tell you why you have a symptom, whether it is serious, or what to do about it. If that is what you need, please see a doctor — the pages that rank for symptoms all carry a section on when to stop reading and go.

We cannot advise on a personal diet

Plenty of people write asking whether a specific combination is safe for their situation, and the honest answer is that we do not know. We can explain the traditional reasoning and point you at the food, and then you take it to someone qualified who can account for your actual history and medications.

Check the page first

Most questions have already been answered somewhere on the site, often more fully than we could manage in an email. Every ingredient has a profile, every condition page has its own section on when to see a doctor, and the glossary covers the vocabulary from scratch.

No urgent replies, and no accounts

We read everything and reply to most of it within a few days, but this is a side project maintained in the margins of other work rather than a staffed inbox. If something is urgent, that means a doctor rather than an email. There is no account to create and nothing to sign up for.

How This Site Is Funded

Vitality System runs on display advertising and nothing else. There are no affiliate links, no sponsored posts, and no products. That is a deliberate constraint rather than a stage the site is passing through: an advert is only worth reading if it is not paying for the sentence next to it, and the whole editorial position here — including the parts where we would rather not make a claim — depends on that. If the site is useful to you, the advertising is what keeps it online, and nothing about your reading is affected by it.

Equally, nothing on this site is medical advice. We are not clinicians, and the material here describes a traditional framework alongside ordinary nutritional information — it cannot diagnose anything and it does not treat anything.Read the editorial policyfor how we decide what to publish and how we mark the line between a traditional claim and a fact.
